Home physiotherapy
If getting to the practice is hard because of a mobility limitation, a post-surgical recovery or day-to-day commitments, physiotherapy comes to you: assessment and treatment take place at your home and your rehabilitation programme continues without interruption.
Working in your home also has a concrete advantage: I see your everyday difficulties in the spaces where they arise and build the programme around them. The service is available in Vibo Valentia and the surrounding area.
Who it’s for
- Difficulty getting around: for those who struggle to reach the practice due to mobility limitations.
- Post-surgical recovery or temporary bed rest: to continue rehabilitation even when leaving home isn’t possible.
- Older adults: for those who prefer to be seen in their own home environment.
- Organisational or time constraints: for those who, due to family or work commitments, find it more practical to receive treatment at home.
What can be done at home
- Physiotherapy assessment: a consultation and examination to define the problem and set goals.
- Manual therapy and mobilisation: manual techniques to reduce pain and stiffness and restore mobility.
- Manual lymphatic drainage: to promote fluid drainage and reduce swelling.
- Therapeutic exercise and postural re-education: targeted exercises and postural guidance to follow independently as well.
- Portable instrumental therapies: magnet therapy, laser therapy, electrotherapy and ultrasound therapy with portable devices, supporting the rehabilitation programme.
Tecar therapy requires the practice’s INDIBA device and takes place on site.
How it works
- First contact: you message or call me to tell me about your situation and your area.
- Assessment at your home: a consultation and examination to define your goals and the most suitable programme together.
- Sessions and follow-up: treatment proceeds as agreed, tracking progress over time.
